Beyond the Pitch

3 DAYS OF INSIGHTS : RETHINKING WOMEN’S  BALL SPORTS

This conference aims to update and renew our understanding of women’s football and other ball sports.

The objective is to analyse the issues at stake in terms of good practice and to observe the new representations that they give rise to. Beyond the obstacles and constraints that weigh on women footballers, or even ball sportswomen, the actions and experiences that allow them to develop will be defined and commented on.

Documentary Little Miss Soccer

Followed by a debate

Participants enjoyed a globetrotting documentary film Little Miss Soccer that aired on Canal+ group channels during the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

Following the film, engaging discussions and debates took place, likely centered around the tournament’s impact, women’s soccer, and related topics.

VISIT TO THE ABBAYE

The international symposium received unanimous support from local authorities and institutions.

The Maubuisson Abbaye offered to host the gala dinner free of charge as well as a guided tour for all attendees. Ideal occasion for the participants to enjoy “Khépri, Sortir au Jour”, a fascinating exhibition by artist Félicie d’Estienne d’Orves that takes visitors on a metaphysical and poetic journey, combining humanity and the cosmos.

The gala dinner that followed provided a cultural and convivial get-together before the final day of the symposium.

Friendly Tournament

LITTLE MISS SOCCER

Immersed in the world of soccer thrills and team camaraderie. A memorable tournament where five teams : Cergy, ILEPS, Evreux, LMS and Les Mamans, came together for the love of the game.
